PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR ON AIRPLANES
SO YOUR LEAR JET HAS A DOOR DING?
Sorry bout that, fella! Maybe you were at Fashion Island dropping in to get a new Tommy Bahama and someone pulled up in a F150 and dropped a dingy on your fuselage?
well, probably not. This article isnt about parking a Learjet at a mall..its really about the possibility of removing a dent from an aircraft, and yes, it is done regularly. By us? No., but yes, we have some experience here..

Back to the story..
So, IS it possible to repair a dent on an aircraft?
1) Yes.
2) What type of aircraft? 767? Cessna? Gulfstream?
Answer (A,B,C) All the above.
BUT(T) there are subtle differences and notsosubtle differences, like
A) Cessnas and other light aircraft are extremely light, thin aluminim sheetmetal and very easy to work with. BUT, if you personally try and tackle the repair and are not FAA approved to do so, you will need an article to be signed by the owner prior to doing so.
B) 767’s These babies are completley different that Light aircraft. The sheetmetal has a rockwell over 300 (that means the stuff is dang sheeit strong!!! and most PDR tools will not be very usefull, unless the stuff is heated up a bit, but this is for the pro, so stay away from large aircraft. We know, cause Delta Airlines works with us regularly!!
C) Gulfstreams, Lears etc etc. These are usually more like light aircraft, and can usually be tackled, depending on what, where and how bad (hail, bird, person etc)
So, did that help> I hope so. If not, heres your dollar back..
Have a nice one and fly safe,
Brian
